Celebrating 160 years of 'Friendship Through Flowers' in 2026.
Ipswich Horticultural Society Garden Club Inc. is a small friendly club holding monthly meetings featuring a guest speaker and a plant and flower show judged by a Horticultural Judge. Our motto is: ‘Friendship Through Flowers’.
May is the month for our Autumn Show and Market Day! This year it’s being held on Saturday 2nd May. In consequence there will be no normal meeting on the second Saturday of the month, instead, we hope to see you at our Market Day.
There will be the usual plant bench showing for judging plus a Floral Art competition with one the following themes of your choice:
– Mother’s Day
– Green is Fine
– Reflection
Judges for the day will be Amanda Meads and Shirley Took.
There will also be a photo competition with the themes:
– My Favourite Place in the Garden
or
– Autumn in an Ipswich Garden
Photos to be in 8″x6″ format with your name and photo title on the back.
Set up for plant benching and photo entry will be from 4:00pm Friday 1st May
